The Fools They Locked Up The Wrong Man Yes, its words of wisdom from Leonard Cohen. Although we were wet and very cold at his concert in Edinburgh on Wednesday (outside Edinburgh Castle on a hilltop is not good when its cold and windy, oh and then came the rain) it was still a wonderful privilege to be in his company. Half way through I decided that it couldn't be the last time (http://www.accredituk.com/blog/big-steps-and-little-uns.html) so I hatched plans to get to the Big Chill Concert in Ledbury - despite my allergic reaction to festivals and festival-goers. Imagine my joy when I discovered on Thursday that more dates had been added, going on sale Friday morning (today) at 9:00 am. Like every person who keeps pressing the lift button when waiting for it (it is a fact that the button contains special particle matter release clouds that make the lift carriage get to you quicker, and don't believe those who deny it) I was hitting the "buy tickets" button from 8:40 onwards. At 9:00 (can't think why it took 'til then) I got tickets, for Cardiff and Birmingham. Both are in the block immediately in front of the stage, enough rows back to make any of the bands' nasal hair invisible but close enough to see the wrinkles. So what does it all mean? Abu posted on here earlier in the week about his fears of rejection and not making that call. I told of my worries about how I would feel at the end of the concert on Wednesday night. Abs challenged his fears, made the calls and they all signed up - he had nothing to worry about, he wasn't rejected and had a brilliant end to the week. I got lucky and had a brilliant end to the week. What does it mean? I guess it means that Abu is good at his job, the Accredit UK standard is wanted, and I'm lucky. I'm off now to look at my new garden hammock (erected at great personal pain last week) and rue the heavy showers that will mean I can't use it - what was that about being lucky again? Comments (0)
