Terms and Conditions
1. Formation of Contract
Accredit UK is a division of the NCC Ltd. “Applicant” is the party named on this Application Form. A contract is made upon acceptance of signed Application Form by Accredit UK.
2. Definition
The Accredit UK Certification programme is the process defined in Accredit UK’s literature involving the certification documentation supplied by the applicant, the certification visit, the certification outcomes, the assessor’s report and action plan, and Accredit UK’s ongoing support in each year of the certification.
3. Term/Renewals
Accredit UK
This agreement shall continue until terminated by either party.
Certification
Given for a 3 year period with annual ‘Light Touch’ Reviews. Both Renewal and Review visits will be scheduled as close as possible to the anniversary of Certification.
Action Plan
An action plan will be provided after the initial Certification visit and reviewed at each ‘Light Touch’ review to ensure continuous improvement.
Light Touch Review
The applicant maintains Certified status provided any non-conformances identified in the action plan are cleared by the ‘Light Touch’ Review (or justification discussed with and agreed by the assessor).
Working Towards
Businesses that are committed to the Accredit UK principles, but cannot yet demonstrate the required level of evidence based compliance, may apply for the Working Towards mark. Such businesses demonstrate that they are preparing for certification over a 12 month period. This level of certification is awarded for a maximum of 12 months within which the Applicant must either book a full certification visit or withdraw from the Standard.
4. Reschedules
By Client
The applicant is allowed a maximum of one (1) reschedule request on the following terms based on the number of working days from receipt of reschedule request by Accredit UK and the certification site visit:-
At least 21 working days – no charge;
5 to 20 working days – 50% of the certification (or light touch review) fee.
Less than 5 working days, or applicants non availability at the time of the visit – 100% of the certification (or light touch review) fee.
Further reschedule requests will be charged at 100% of the certification fee.
Reschedule requests must be confirmed in writing by the applicant and fees will be calculated from the received date of the written confirmation.
By Accredit UK
In the event that Accredit UK has to cancel a certification site visit, the applicant will be offered an alternative booking.
5. Payment of Fees & Charges
By signing this Application Form, the applicant agrees to pay the relevant fees - please contact us for pricing information. Payment is due on order, or, in the case of an approved credit account transaction supported by the applicant’s Purchase Order, payment is due within 30 days of invoice. Payment for reschedule charges is due within 30 days of invoice. In any event, all invoices must be paid in full prior to receiving the Application pack or certification visit to the client.
6. Refunds
The Applicant is not entitled to a refund if the Applicants' Pack is despatched. If, however, the Applicant decides to withdraw from the programme before the Applicants Pack has been despatched by Accredit UK, the fee will not be charged.
7. Payment Method
Payment may be made by credit card, cheque or BACS.
8. Interest
Accredit UK reserves the right to charge interest on overdue monies at a compounded rate of 2% per calendar month on overdue invoices.
9. Contract Variations
Any variations to these terms and conditions must be in writing and signed by both parties. This agreement is non-cancellable.
10. Expenses
The applicant is not responsible for expenses incurred by Accredit UK staff or assessors relating to the site visit. This includes mileage and/or necessary public transport, accommodation and subsistence expenses.
11. Applicant Responsibilities
The applicant agrees to adhere to Accredit UK’s terms and conditions.
12. Law
The contract shall be subject to English Law and the contracting parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
Accredit UK Application Form
All information/documentation received (except that already in the public domain or by prior written agreement with applicant) will be kept in confidence by Accredit UK. By sending this application form, the applicant accepts all the terms and conditions as above.
