Technology Installation Services a division of Dodd Group (Midlands) Ltd based in Telford Shropshire, carry out the design and installation of Voice and Data Structured cabling solutions, fibre optical systems for data, automotive controls and CCTV, UPS Systems, Wireless Networks, Network Switches, Audio and Video over structured cabling and interactive white boards. Customers include Local Councils, Government, Manufacturing, Schools, Colleges and Universities carrying out projects nationwide.

TIS believe quality and customer satisfaction are very important and a lot of our business is repeat business built on the success of some very good projects built up over the past 10 years. TIS are proud to be associated with Accredit UK and to have achieved certification in 2008. Accredit UK have carried out a very extensive and professional audit of our operational systems and procedures, taking into consideration business plans, marketing, sales and much more. Long-term certification to Accredit UK will be of great benefit to TIS and customers old and new.

Accredit UK is not just a quality system it is a system to base a good business and it is the first of its kind specialised to IT.

A Joint Approach to Improvement

Initially the process involved reading through the AUK handbook.

“It is important time is taken to digest the information in the handbook before you address each topic.”

As TIS was involved with the development of the standard several visits were made by Accredit UK to establish how the business was run and to manage expectations. As part of the piloting process Accredit UK put together an interim action plan detailing any changes required in order to meet the standard.

“Once the piloting phase was completed an assessor came from Accredit UK to audit our procedures and business practices.”

“The audit was very thorough and some excellent advice was provided on conclusion.”

Benefits
